Alcáçovas

Fundado sobre uma primitiva ermida do século XV, dedicada a N. Sr.ª da Graça, o atual convento foi integrado, em 1541, na ordem de S. Domingos.

Este monumento, exemplar máximo da arquitetura monástica rural, fica situado a cerca de três quilómetros da vila de Alcáçovas.

O convento apresenta ainda excelentes pormenores de construção manuelina, assim como uma das mais belas coleções de azulejos do século XVII – XVIII.

Importante local de culto e de romaria, ainda hoje, dedicado à padroeira N. Sr.ª da Esperança.
